This was one of our top 2 favorite places in Roma! The reviews are true and you need to try it!! Our first night we had the carbonara and the bucatini. The carbonara flavor was bold and robust with a generous amount of bacon. It was perfect! The bucatini (my favorite noodle!) was paired with a homemade marinara sauce and it was wonderful! I'm not sure how marinara can pack such bold flavors, but Boy did Romaantica deliver!! We finished the night with a bottle of the Castello. It was the perfect first night!!
Night two: my husband had the Funghi pizza and I had the prosciutto pizza then we split the penne with salmon pasta dish. The pizzas were rectangular shape and the toppings were generous! The crust and pizza was thicker than some Italian places and we loved it!!! The penne with salmon was one of the best pasta dishes we ate in Italy! The sauce was similar to an American vodka sauce, but it tasted 100x better!! It had a little red pepper in addition to give it a little kick. The pieces of salmon added an awesome twist to the the flavor.
Andrei was our server and he is fantastic! He knows just how to work the crowd and make his tables happy! He was sweet and attentive! -

Looks better than it tastes. I think if they did some sauces and seasoned it would be a much better dining experience. Also the service can be a bit speedier.

Tried this place because it was conveniently located right downstairs from our Airbnb. What a mistake. This place is a tourist trap. I can find more authentic Italian food anywhere else in the world. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered a personal margarita pizza. Disgusting. It was soggy and not cooked through it tasted like something I could find at a carnival. My friend had some risotto dish, equally as bad. The rice was undercooked and the dish was unappealing looking as well.
Not too mention our service was less than satisfactory. It took the waiter over 20 minutes to bring us water after we asked.
I wasn't the only one who was disappointed in the food. The couple a few tables away left his pizza half uneaten telling the waiter that it was the opposite of fresh and just plain "was not good".
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Rome and it's definitely not a place where locals eat. They know better. -

Went there one night when we didn't want to walk too far. My wife had the pizza - she loved it. I had the pollo d'arancia chiken breast cooked with oranges and I too enjoyed it. We each had a glass of wine at a very reasonable price. The service was great. The waitress was friendly and helpful.
